All '70s reunion

For those who have not already heard, there will be a Rio Linda High all '70s reunion on Saturday, August 23, 2008. This is to become an annual event (it started last year), and could turn out to be a lot of fun.

Here are the details:

  • When: Saturday, August 23, 2008 6 PM - Midnight
  • Where: American Legion Hall 6700 8th St. Rio Linda
  • Cost: $35 per person (at the door) provides pizza, veggies. beer, wine and a DJ

The organizer is Kathy (Shermer) Collier of the class of 1977. She can be contacted at (916) 215-4328 if you have additional questions.

Dress is casual.

In addition, there will be a no host picnic at Gibson Ranch the following day, Sunday, August 24. Bring your own food, family and anything else you'd like at the picnic. Other than admission to the park, it's free!

The date of our 30 year reunion was the weekend of July 27-29, 2001. A Friday night reception and Saturday night banquet were held at the Dante Club, 2330 Fair Oaks Boulevard. A Sunday family picnic was held at Gibson Ranch in Elverta. A first-hand report and hundreds of pictures chronicle this great event. Roger also made a few remarks at the Saturday night banquet. The final attendance list names all the classmates that came. Pictures from the Friday reception, the Saturday banquet and the Sunday picnic are now in the Photo Gallery.

Although we were pretty successful finding most of our classmates, there are still quite a few that we were never able to locate. Please check out the classmate list and let us know if you know the whereabouts of any of those we are still seeking.
