CAROUSEL CLOWN

I woke up this morning and fell out of bed ...
That's my contribution to sports.
My neighbor's new lawnmower's gone to his head,
His dog's got some kid by the shorts.
I'm spinning around like a carousel clown.

(Come see the show ...)
There's teenager's tiremarks all over my street,
Their beerbottles decorate my lawn.
My newspaper's perfectly thrown in the tree.
How long must this circus go on?
I'm up and I'm down like a carousel clown.

My life's been a series of carnivals coming to town,
They come and they go, stealing the show like it's
"1-2-3 .... easy me!"

My boss thinks that I should be working for free,
My ex-wife almost disagrees.
My kids think that Christmas comes every two weeks,
My girlfriend wants gold in her skiis.
Merry-go-round, carousel clown!

My life's been a series of carnivals coming to town.
They come and they go, stealing the show like it's
"1-2-3 .... easy me!"

So I hide from the world with my usual flair ...
Sunglasses, headphones, and drinks.
I bask in the sunshine and dance in the rain,
'Cause life should be fun while it stinks.

Merry-go-round, I'm up and I'm down, spinning around,
I'm a carousel clown.

I spin like a top for the world.
Pull my string, yank my chain,
I spin like a top for the world, I bounce like a ball ...
Kick me through your favorite window. Ouch, ouch, ouch.

Oh, Meezommy ... Oh, Deezaddy,
Won't you tell me I'm doing alright? Oh woe, oh woe,
Won't you tell me I'm doing just fine? Oh woe, oh woe,
Won't you tell me I'm doing OK? OK? OK?
Mommy ........
Daddy ........
      ........
      .....
      ...
      .
