THIS WEEK ON THE DIFFERENCE (airs 17-23 July 1995)

Fans and critics alike have made them one of the most revered bands of all time, defining and redefining the term "art rock" over the decades. They've got a new album and a new lineup for the nineties, and hot on the heels of their American tour, Bill Bruford and Tony Levin of KING CRIMSON drop by THE DIFFERENCE to reflect on the history and the mechanics of their successful group.

He may have played an FBI agent in the movie version of "Twin Peaks" but this week, The Difference does the detective work... We'll cram international sex symbol CHRIS ISAAK and his whole band into our studio for a live performance and a chat about life on the road.

We'll also hear live performances from CHARLIE SEXTON, MARSHALL CRENSHAW, SUSAN WERNER and THE BODEANS, plus the soon-to-be-world-famous Difference Mix featuring PHISH, THE POLICE, SHERYL CROW, SONIA DADA, CANNED HEAT and JENNIFER TRYNIN.

All that, plus the one and only TODD RUNDGREN as your master of ceremonies... all radio should be this good!

COMING SOON ON THE DIFFERENCE:

-Two words: BONNIE RAITT!

-Four words from JILL SOBULE (which shouldn't even be THOUGHT of as naughty!)

-And lots of words from the guys in WILCO

THE DIFFERENCE with TODD RUNDGREN airs each week on over forty stations across the U.S.A. Some of them call themselves "Triple A," some of them call themselves "AOR," and at least two of them are calling themselves "rock alternative." Whatever you call them, they're all great radio stations so PLEASE call them (on the phone, that is) and remind them how great they are for playing THE DIFFERENCE!

What's that? No DIFFERENCE where you live? We're working as hard as we can to get to you, but you can help speed things up by calling or writing your favorite station today!
